After 15 years of dedicated service to the Ward 1 Office, Dale Brown has announced she will be retiring from her position to pursue new opportunities in life. Her contributions to Ward 1 will never be forgotten; from the community newsletter to participatory budgeting to neighbourhood meetings to constituent support, she has been committed to making Ward 1 a better place for everyone.

Dale started her Ward 1 career in 2001 working for former Councillor Marvin Caplan. She continued in the office after former Councillor Brian McHattie was elected in 2003 and the current Councillor Aidan Johnson was elected in 2014. Throughout that time, her role was constantly evolving based on the needs of Ward 1 residents.

Dale has developed many long lasting relationships over the years, thanks to her positive attitude and reliability. We wish her all the very best and will always appreciate her valuable contributions to the growth and success of Ward 1.

Cindy Stranak, who filled in for Dale during her recent leave, will be taking Dale's place on a permanent basis.
