The MAD Creative Arts School was started in the summer of 1985 by Hamilton’s Music Ambassador Jude Johnson. The philosophy was to introduce children to the creative arts through music, art and drama in a fun, happy and informative way using local professional artists as the instructors.

A Special March Break Program is happening from March 13 to 17, 2017!

During the March break program, the children will be painting, drawing, making sketchbooks, doing collage and learning about great artists in history. In drama, they will explore movement, mime, storytelling, role playing improvisations and theatre games. For music, they will learn about instruments from around the world, singing, songwriting and music appreciation. We will also have a visiting musician doing a concert for us and a “crazy” dance at the end of the week.

Cost is $135 per child.

Please note: The Mad Creative Art School will be on “sabbatical” for the summer of 2017. Sorry for any inconvenience but after 32 years, founder/ director Jude Johnson is having a very well deserved summer off travelling with her husband, performing concerts and pursuing her painting. Look for us in 2018!
