Sustainable Mobility Programs Annual Report 2016

The City of Hamilton has several programs relating to sustainable mobility including Hamilton Bike Share, Smart Commute Hamilton Workplace and Transportation Demand Management (TDM).

Hamilton Bike Share is the nonprofit operator of Social Bicycles (SoBi) Hamilton bike share system.

Smart Commute Hamilton is an association led by the City of Hamilton which works with local businesses and community organizations to provide programs and initiatives that encourage the use of active and sustainable transportation.

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) initiatives and policies aim to reduce single-occupant vehicle trips (vehicles carrying only one person) by encouraging more sustainable forms of transportation.  TDM is a key implementation strategy of the Transportation Master Plan.
