On November 25, members of the Hamilton community are invited to join us to move beyond conversations in addressing racism in Hamilton. The event, being hosted by the McMaster Womanists, will take intimate conversations about experiences of racism and incorporate them into the development of a report that specifically outlines the demands of Hamiltonians when it comes to racism in their city. These conversations will include issues of gentrification, community backlash anti racism organizing, the intersections of race and disability, carding and police brutality, hate crimes, Indigenous Issues, and gentrification, which will result in specific community oriented directives.

We are proud to be collaborating with the Canadian Collation Against Racism (CCAR), The President’s Advisory Committee for Building an Inclusive Community (PACBIC), the President's Office at McMaster University, the Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion (HCCI), the Office of Matthew Green Ward 3, Canadian Coalition Against Racism (CCAR), New Generation Youth Centre (NGen), as well as a number of McMaster youth led groups including but not limited to: Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR),McMaster Muslims for Peace and Justice (MMPJ) and McMaster Indigenous Student Community Alliance (MISCA), Nu Omega Zeta and more!
