Thank you to everyone who has submitted an idea and/or attended the community workshop held on February 26, 2018!
244 idea submissions were received in December 2017. The Participatory Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC) then reviewed the list to remove ideas that did not meet criteria, resulting in 208 ideas that were presented at the community workshop.
At the workshop, the ideas were sorted by neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood was placed at a table and participants identified duplicate ideas as well as similar ideas that could be combined to make 1 stronger one.
In the next stage, City Staff will be reviewing the list to help identify projects that are not possible or are part of an existing project so area rating funding is not needed.
The PB Advisory Committee will then develop the shortlist for you to vote on; voting is scheduled to start March 19, stay tuned!
Thank you to Civic Plan for helping to coordinate the process, and this year's hard working PBAC, for their excellent effort in assessing the submissions that will make Ward 1 a better place for Everyone!
